08:42 pm Who knew that the process of getting rid of a horrible roommate would be such an emotionally draining experience. Honestly, it makes me just want to curl up in my bed at home. Yay for a single the rest of the semester!

04:28 pm - This made me laugh... Written by my World Poetry class the other day...
"We're going on a cruise in the summer On which we'll drink lots of booze in the summer
Not seeing the day before noon, We always like to snooze in the summer
Crowd cheering and lights flashing, We always hope not to lose in the summer
One piece or two piece We always hate to choose in the summer
When the bars close at two, We all sing the blues in the summer
Having no time during the semester We in world poetry will call in the muse in the summer."
Aaahhh, summer...can't wait! Current Mood: amused

10:33 pm Now that I'm pretty much the only one left in Rochester, I feel really lonely. Especially now without Domenic. I had such an amazing time with him this past month. Things were a little rough between us because we were apart from each other for so long, but everything is absolutely perfect now. You'd think that after two years of saying goodbye, it'd be easier. It's not. I think I cried more this time than I ever have before. I couldn't even go with him to the airport because I was such a mess. It's so hard spending my last few nights at home watching movies by myself after so many of being in his arms. I won't see him again until at least May....that is unless I can find some way down to Virginia for Spring Break. Thanks for so many amazing memories, Baby, I'd be so lost without you.

December 15th, 2003
10:31 am My last Saturday night here before break was so much fun! The 6 of us all spent the night at Rachel's house and partied with some of her friends from home. Her mom made us this amazing steak dinner with a cake for dessert. It was kind of an early birthday party for Heath and Cole because their birthdays are both during break. I'm really going to miss everyone here. During the first couple weeks of the semester, if someone had asked me if I would miss being here, I would have said definitely not. I absolutely love going to school here now. On the other hand, I'm ready to go home for a while. The week I had at Thanksgiving just didn't seem like enough to do all the things I wanted to. I get to see Domenic and my track girls, and have some quality time with my sister. She and I have always been really close, but since I went away to school, we've become even closer. Wow, this whole thing is really random. Back to bed for a while before I have to study my life away for the rest of my finals. I'll be home Thursday! 10:47 pm It's been a long time since I had a "real entry", so I think I'll use this as an excuse to further procrastinate on all the studying and the paper I should be working on.
I'm pretty happy here at Fredonia. I have some really great friends, most of them are actually from around the same area, so it will be easy to get together over breaks and stuff. My roommate Mary is a great girl. She went to School of the Arts and lives literally two minutes from me. Funny that I never met her before we came to school. Nicole is also from Rochester (she lives over in Penfield). She's such a sweet girl and we have so much in common. Her boyfriend Ryan is also really great. He's kinda like the male version of my roommate. When he's here, he and my roommate are so funny, you almost pee your pants just being in the same room as them. Heather is Nicole's roommate and is from Long Island. She's so much fun. We have a lot of laughs because of her accent and her sense of humor. Bre lives across the hall from me and she's from Ithaca. She's my party buddy - we always go out together. She's the kind of person that you can go and talk to about absolutely anything, and she'll actually listen and give you her honest opinion. I love that about her. Rachel lives across the hall from Nicole and Heather. She's from Hamburg outside of Buffalo. We call her Toddler because she walks really slow and has such a cute sense of humor. She's got some crazy friends, but we all love her. Dana is from Niagra falls. She looks exactly like a barbie to me, but she's the nicest and funniest barbie I've ever met.
I can't wait to go home for Thanksgiving Break this weekend. I'm surprised how much closer I've become with my family since I've been gone, and how much I miss them. It's been a long time since I've seen my whole family, and I'm really excited. Everyone always gets together at my aunt's house for a huge Thanksgiving dinner. I miss all my friends from home too. It's a little disappointing when I realize that I really haven't kept in touch with as many people as I had hoped. I guess that's what happens though, when everyone gets so spread out. I miss my track girls too. And Domenic, I miss Domenic. It's hard when he's so far away. Well, I suppose I should go finish that paper. 4 days til I'm home!
